In the interest of correct spelling, I decided to integrate CircleCode's suggested change to fix hunspell and make it required.

Chances are this is opinionated, but I think if you can afford to install Thunderbird, you can also install hunspell.

  • %u change not implemented, not sure if this is a good idea.
  • Let me know if this breaks usage with other spell checkers. I have no idea what others there are.

There is a typo in the download link (one redundant slash). Also the SHA512 is not correct. The correct one is: 07dcb46e084d4c9c5c8df6afe93bfb17e9ccdd9d608352d6da43ebfdae75b7765b18d8658c2f4e5d83a35019b5753cac8df75ef6aeaaa830afa17f6fe12f89dd

Applied thunderbird-beta-bin 143.0b3-1 tonight and upon restart it is no longer in English. I think its now in Swedish? The opening screen says "Thunderbird är en gåva från tusentals människor som du. Genom att använda vår betaversion och rapportera problem, bidrar du till den gåvan av produktivitet, integritet och frihet till världen. Tack!" The actual menus and email terms are all in Swedish now as well. Like "Unkorgen", "Utkast", "Skickat", "Papperskorgen".

I don't see an obvious way to put this back to English.

There seems to be a typo in one of the install files:

"unknown download protocol: hhttps" -> should be https

In version 140.0b3-1 there is a typo in the source address: 'hhttps' --> 'https' (line 22)
