I checked the log of my session and I DID rm the PKGBUILD file. So something either downloaded a cached copy or the VFS did not really delete the old copy... In either case its weird. In any case after the third try it worked. Your prompt responses are VERY much appreciated. Thanks.

Just tried it myself and it works without problems. Have you updated the PKGBUILD?

Thanks, Retried using an empty directory. Same error, which is REALLY strange since the directory was cleared (eg it should have downloaded your new PKGBUILD using .png). So I tried removing the yay/free42 directory and doing a sync. After that it works. Previously I just removed the contents of the dir. Looks like something in linux 6.17.3 is not cleaning a cache correctly.

Latest build fails with:

Thanks, upstream source archive has changed after the release, checksums updated.

As for the skins package I'll see if it is worth updating it or if I simply remove it.

(Manjaro Pamac on 2020-07-12), Also for free42-skins, please, note that Thomas Okken no longer provides all in one zip - on my other system I succeeded installing 2.5.18 (update now failed) and put the desired skin manually into ~/.local/share/free42 where I had found the state and keymap files. Please, check and correct - mainly the md5 issue. Thank you
