Notes:

  1. There is no need to install this package directly, as it only serves as a dependency and does not do anything on its own.

  2. If you have problems, please read the comments in the PKGBUILD.

  3. Your printer might be supported by more modern alternatives from Epson. You can check this by entering your model name here. Remember to enter your actual model name that is written on the device itself (i.e. L350), NOT the name of the package here on the AUR (i.e. 201207w). ESC/P drivers are packaged as epson-inkjet-printer-* (many separate packages), ESC/P-R as epson-inkjet-printer-escpr (one package for all), and ESC/P-R 2 as epson-inkjet-printer-escpr2 (one package for all). Some models are also listed in the respective packages' descriptions, tags or comments.

  4. You can find out which ESC/P package your specific model needs by entering the model name into the AUR search (Search by: Name, Description). If your model string consists of several words, it might be helpful to search only for the last one, e.g., Stylus Office BX525WD -> BX525WD. Another option is to go to the said link, enter your model name, click Download on the row that mentions ESC/P, and compare the file names to the AUR package names. For example, epson-inkjet-printer-workforce-635-nx625-series-1.0.1-1lsb3.2.* is epson-inkjet-printer-workforce-635-nx625-series and epson-stylus-pro-7890-9890-series-1.1.0-1lsb3.2.* is epson-inkjet-printer-stylus-pro-7890-9890-series. Notice the unchanged epson-inkjet-printer-* prefix.
